Conny reed mijn rolstoel opgewekt het feestgedruis in. De ruit van het etablissement weerspiegelde onze contouren: een onverwoestbare tachtiger die een immobiele twintiger voor zich uit duwt. Willemijn Kranendonk (1994) is schrijver en dichter, voor zowel kinderen als volwassenen. Haar werk verscheen o.a. in Tirade, DW B, Liegend Konijn en op Lilith Magazine, Revisor, De Internet Gids, Hard//Hoofd en De Optimist. Momenteel werkt ze aan haar debuutroman die dit jaar nog uit zal komen bij Uitgeverij Van Oorschot en volgt ze de master Jeugdliteratuur aan de Universiteit van Tilburg. Mei 2022 verschijnt haar eerste kinderboek bij Uitgeverij Billy Bones.
De Nederlands-Arubaanse schrijver Julien Ignacio (1969) studeerde af als literatuurwetenschapper. Hij publiceerde theaterteksten, blogs en korte verhalen. In 2008 ontving hij de El Hizjraliteratuurprijs voor zijn toneelstuk HotelAtlantis. Hij was redacteur van literair tijdschrift Tirade en is bestuurslid van de Werkgroep Caraïbische Letteren. In 2018 verscheen zijn debuutroman Kus (nominatie Bronzen Uil). Met collega-schrijvers Michiel van Kempen en Raoul de Jong stelde hij Dat wij zongen samen, een bloemlezing Caraïbische literatuur die in 2022 uitkwam bij uitgeverij Das Mag. In september 2023 verscheen zijn tweede roman Goudjakhals, een kralenketting van historische en futuristische migrantenverhalen, die zich afspelen in onder meer Amsterdam en Aruba, Beiroet en Lesbos.
